Oliver Blair is an award-winning Film Director & Writer based in London with varied experience in short film, music videos & commercial work.
A Nottingham native, Oliver began his individual career with intimate and ambitious music videos for local celebrated artists like Lowrie, Jordon the Ego & rapping legend Cappo before writing and directing kitchen-sink drama comedy The Tree in 2023, starring Joel Morris and Hayley Thomas.
The Tree went on to be featured and win awards at notable film festivals, such as Best Drama & Best Lead Performances at Brighton Rocks Film Festival (presented by Ben Wheatley).
From 2023 onward, Oliver began working with highly reputable commercial clients such as The Football Association (Enough is Enough, No Space for Hate campaigns), The League Managers Association (Relentless is the Role) & Danish energy supplier Ørsted (Switch the Light On).
Oliver is also an established and experienced Assistant Director, having performed works for artists such as Holly Humberstone, Jake Bugg and work featured by the BBC, ITV and Amazon Prime.
Having just enjoyed the move to London, Oliver is currently in early development for the short film Glass Cannon & three-part dance music video project More Than This as well as striving to create striking, evocative commercial work.
